Abstract :
Parent ions of pentachlorobenzene and pentachlorophenol have been detected as a major product in a laser intensity region less than 1/spl times/10/sup 14/ W cm/sup -2/ and that the mechanism is explained in terms of non-resonant multiphoton ionization.
