Abstract :
This paper investigates the ability of unified power flow controller (UPFC) on controlling the tie line power transfer of an interconnected system. A form of vector presentation in complex power plane is used to visualize the effect of different control parameters of UPFC on tie line power transfer. This visualization helps to identify the effectiveness of each control parameters on power control region.
