Abstract
The paper deals with the power management of a Wind Power System Network (WPSN) in urban environment, where usually fluctuating wind speed profiles are encountered. Several different control strategies are considered and applied to distinct scenarios. The WPSN is connected to the main grid and the goal is to verify the possibility of a power sharing optimization between the generators and the grid during sudden wind gusts. It is shown that, with simple control techniques applied to the energy sharing, it is possible to increase the energy delivered to the utility grid.
