  • Abstract
The process conditions of adsorbing Cr(VI) from solution when chitosan and complex agent serves as adsorbent were discussed. The results showed that when the initial concentration of Cr(VI) was 10 mg/L, at room temperature, pH value was about 4, rotation speed was 200 rpm, the dosage of chitosan was 0.003 g/ml for 2 h, the percent removal efficiency of Cr(VI) could reach 49.2%. Additionally, the complex agent is formed by the reaction of chitosan with ascorbic acid, which has good excellent adsorptive capabilities. Namely when the initial concentration of Cr(Vl) was lOmg/L, at room temperature, the pH of 6, rotation speed of 40 rpm, the dosage of complex agent of 1 ml/ml for 1 h, the removal rate of Cr(VI) could reach above 97%, and the residual concentration of Cr(VI) was 0.30 mg/L after being treated, which is lower than the national emission standard of the first kinds of pollutants.
