Abstract :
The insulation operating rods are the basic tool for live line work. In order to understand the electrical characteristics of insulation operating rods the tests are made on the influence of connection methods of operating rods on the electrical characteristics and improving the distribution of the electric field to increase the discharge voltage. The complete operating rods test and section rod test are also carried out. The test results are given in this paper
