Abstract :
In this paper, a circularly polarized ring dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) excited by pair of orthogonal 50 Ω microstripline is proposed. A quadrature hybrid coupler is used to generate a circular polarization. Because the antenna structure is printed in a single metal layer, this antenna can be easily constructed. This antenna has a low axial ratio over wide frequency band, a wide bandwidth and the maximum gain of 4.9 dBi at the frequency of 9.55 GHz.
