Abstract
The long-term prediction of wave-induced loads on unconventional ships needs hydrodynamic calculations. lt can expand the frequency spectrum of 2D long-crested waves to the directional spectrum by wave-spreading function, and simulate the 3D short-crested waves, which can describe the real sea states. The SESAM system is employed to achieve the calculations of loads response and the long-term prediction, then an analysis that focuses on the short-crested waves´ effect on ship´s wave induced loads is made.
