Abstract
Waveguide slots are widely used as coupling and radiating structures of array antennas ([1],[4],[7]). In the design practice one usually has to cope with some strange behaviour that often arises from undesired coupling. In order to predict unwanted results, a computational tool aimed toward this purpose can be very useful. To be effective such a tool must provide a straightforward means to model not only radiating slots but the coupling ones as well. This is mandatory in order to expand the simulation capability to the whole antenna, and not limit oneself to radiating subarray. This work outlines a method that starting from a unifying point of view could deal with all these structures, making easier the building of efficient computing routines.
