Abstract :
A fast algorithm for adaptively seeking the root-MUSIC polynomial coefficients is presented. The directions of arrival are then obtained by applying the DFT (discrete Fourier transform) to the coefficients padded with zeros, thus avoiding polynomial rooting. Computer simulation results are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of this adaptive root-MUSIC procedure
