Abstract
Ambient Information Systems (AIS) can support elders to live independently in their home by motivating or persuading them to carry out their activities of daily living, guiding them to complete these activities, and by preventing risks associated with the execution of their activities. We present a set of scenarios to illustrate how AIS support ageing in place. We have developed prototypes of the envisioned AIS in order to abstract design requirements of an agent-based component that facilitates developers to integrate these AIS into an Ambient Intelligent System.
