Abstract :
The traditional active contour models based on curve evolution often need complicated computations, and are prone to trap into local minimum in their optimizations. A contours location algorithm using a series circles with adaptively changing centers and radiuses is proposed in this paper. So, fewer pixels are used to finish the contour location. On the other hand, Fisher discrimination analysis is used to locate the boundaries in order to avoid giving the gradients threshold. Comparing with traditional algorithm, simulation results show that the proposed contours location algorithm can realize the object contour detection in high efficiency.
