Abstract :
Recently, it is hot spot that accelerating construction of National Spatial Information Infrastructure and boosting sharing and application of Geospatial Information industry. While traditional WebGIS always binds spatial data and map display together, it is hard to display multiple-source spatial data dynamically, not to mention the dynamical overlay analysis of different kinds of data. Aiming at the overall sharing and all-in-one management of data resource, grid opens up new technological approaches to resolve problems about geospatial information sharing and service modes. The research discusses how to take advantages of spatial information grid (SIG) to improve the display of spatial information which is numerous, multi-source, multi-scale and multi-type, construct map display ldquoservicerdquo in SIG and carry out the resource encapsulation and conformity in network environment. The main research works are as follows: 1) Analyze the status in quo of map publishing system, represent the system configuration and investigate main technologies in map publishing, including WebGIS and client techniques. 2) Based on WMS (Web map service) specification of OGC, construct map display service platform frame. Different from traditional map publishing system binding data and display, it makes use of grid service to encapsulate complicated geospatial information processing, describes service interface according to unified standard and deploys service in grid environment. User can get required geospatial information by accessing grid service. The essay makes grid service techniques as basic method to build map display platform. 3) Analyze a variety of map servers, choosing open source software MapServer as WebGIS platform and Ka-Map as client, publish spatial information display service by constructing WMS service entity, design and carry out the system prototype.
