Abstract :
This research is to analyze water resources development and utilization problems and explore rational deployment scheme of water resources in Beijing City to use limited water resources rationally and promote sustainable development of economy and society. According to current situation of water supply and water use in Beijing, and incoming water change of Guanting and Miyun reservoirs, effective methods of releasing water stress are analyzed. Based on the cooperation principle of local water and transferred water, surface water and underground water, water resources rational deployment results are calculated after the completion of south-to-north water diversion project. The results show that water demand can not be contented in 95% hydrological year in 2010 and in 75% and 95% hydrological year in 2020 after the cooperated distribution of different water resources. The water shortages are respectively 1.8 × 108 m3, 2.05 × 108 m3 and 3.45 × 108 m3. To solve the problem of water shortage fundamentally, south-to-north water diversion project is the necessary measure, and broadening sources of income, reducing expenditure, dealing with sewage and flood resources utilization must be taken simultaneously.
