Title :
Technical aspects of remote participation at JET in the framework the European fusion research programme
Author_Institution :
JET Joint Undertaking, Abingdon, UK
Abstract :
The use of the JET facilities as part of the post-1999 European Fusion Programme is presently under consideration. This would require a number of technical and organisational changes to the computing structures and to the way the device is operated. The paper describes the way JET has been operated and outlines the possible changes. The changes are modest but would enable a completely different way of exploiting this major experimental facility in Nuclear Fusion research
