Abstract
Precipitation, being an important input parameter in traditional hydrological models, may leds to great uncertainties in models. Inhomogeneity of distribution of precipitation in time-space as well as defects of means and technologies of precipitation measurement restrict the application of distributed models in hydrological simulation and forecasting. With the development of technology of radar precipitation measurement and network, precipitation data of radar products are more abundant, timely and accurate. Radar charts obtained through Internet were interpreted into precipitation which can be used for hydrological simulation by the means of image processing technology, confidence analysis was then conducted combining with actual measurement precipitation. The results proves that the total amount and distribution in time-space of precipitation are accord with actual measurement precipitation, which can serve as supplementary data.
