  • Abstract
The Technical Policy Council, one of five IEEE-USA councils, is responsible for interpreting and influencing US technical policies. The primary function of these councils is to affect legislation for the benefit of all Americans from the rational viewpoint of electrical engineers. To influence federal legislation and policy, USAB\´s five councils deal with specific areas of concern. Technology Policy Council provides "...objective technical advice to legislative and executive policy makers concerning proposed laws and regulations involving electrotechnology... \´and "...also supplies interpretations of new technologies and promotes national technology policies that enhance US, competitiveness."
