Abstract :
Summary form only given. We present a DAQ System for PC´s running Windows NT/98/95. The software CoboldPC uses list mode data taking technique and can be programmed to operate nearly every DAQ hardware. User specific analysis code can be programmed. To use CAMAC we have developed a Camac Crate Controller (CCC) that communicates via a standard IO card with the PC. The CCC implements also a simple event handling module. For fast position sensitive 2 dimensional detectors we developed a fast (about 1 MHz acquisition rate) 4 channel TDC Histogramming Module (HM1) that can also be operated in a list mode setup, Our fast position and time-sensitive MCP detectors with their compact electronic for signal processing are optimized for this HM1. For monitoring the HM1 provides x and y analogue signals for a x-y oscilloscope display (histogramming mode)
