Abstract :
The state of polarization in erbium doped fiber ring lasers (EDFRL) is usually difficult to predict and control without any extra polarization elements inside the laser. We inserted inside the ring fiber laser a specially configured Brewster plate to check its ability to select and stabilize the polarization of the output radiation. We found that this idea works quite well.
