Abstract :
In this paper, methods of statistical analysis, comprehensive evaluation and GIS spatial analysis will be used to explore a method for village distribution optimization. Process of village distribution optimization is divided as the following three steps. Firstly, development potentialities of villages are evaluated. Secondly, central villages and inferior villages are determined by means of GIS analysis. Finally, a scheme for village dismantlement or combination is made using GIS spatial analysis tools. The result indicates that this method is feasible and effective for village distribution optimization.
