Intelligent information agent with ontology on the semantic Web

The paper introduces the new technology of the semantic Web that can facilitate intelligent applications for information processing on the Web. It describes the architecture of the semantic Web and its supporting technologies such as resource description framework (RDF) and ontology. The paper shows the integration of agent technology and ontology may make significant impact on the use of Web services and the ability to extend programs to more efficiently perform tasks for users with less human intervention. It presents the implement of Web service search by ontology-based intelligent agent.
