Abstract :
Photoinduced electron emission from polydimethylsiloxanes, polymethylphenylsiloxanes, squalane, and squalene was measured. Absolute quantum yields and threshold energies were determined. The threshold energies for polymethylsiloxanes are between 8.3 eV and 8.4 eV; for polymethylphenylsiloxanes they are between 7.3 and 7.7 eV. For squalene the value is 8.5 eV; for squalene it is 6.9 eV
