Abstract :
The paper deals with a fast and reliable algorithm for position and speed estimation using low-resolution position sensors in PMSM driven boost-rectifier for distributed generating units. The proposed algorithm does not require a high performance control platform making it suitable for industrial implementation. Different solutions have been analyzed considering also the available peripherals in mixed-signal Digital Signal Processors and Microcontrollers.
