Abstract
An experimental study of positive ion mobility in liquid xenon is reported. An effort has been made to detect and eliminate impurities which react with positive ions. Mobility is found to differ depending on the ion´s identity. The effect of electrostriction is mostly independent of the nature of the central ion. Therefore, clustering and the increase of viscosity is mainly due to the Xe atoms of the liquid
