Abstract
Five passive Q-switch and mode-lock modulators: plastic dye sheet, LiF:F/sub 2//sup -/ crystal, Cr/sup 4+/:YAG crystal, RG1000 color glass filter, and semiconductor saturable absorber were investigated in diode-pump and flashlamp-pump, pulsed and CW Nd:hosted solid state lasers.
