Abstract :
Analysis and evaluation on land carrying capacity is the key content of environmental impact assessment of urban master planning, even an important criterion of determining the feasibility of resource and environment in urban planning. Currently, most cities are all facing the problem of land resource shortage, land carrying capacity has become the pivotal factor for restricting the urban development, which is in need of being researched and verified to support planning itself. Based on ecological sensitivity, land carrying capacity analytical method has been well accepted to verify city scale on the basis of land carrying capacity in current environmental impact assessment of urban master planning with its scientific reasonable process analysis, and highly-efficient intuitive spatial navigation. This paper bases on illustration of this method and relative theory system, taking mountain city En Shi of Hubei province for example to put forward optimization suggestion through case study so as to better to be apply it in city scale verification and research.
