Abstract :
Describes a study of inter-organization technology transfer (TT) from research to manufacture in India. First, a model to depict the process of TT is developed. An essential feature of the model is the synthesis of technology transfer with an overall non-integrated innovation process. In order to test the model, a factor analysis of the field study data was performed. The analysis yielded a list of empirically prioritized factors. Critical success factors for TT include: techno-managerial capability of the licensee, familiarity with the technology, user involvement, and mutuality
