Abstract :
According to the features of pavement surface cracks, a novel image segmentation method based on fractal theory is presented in this paper. The optimization process to the fractal properties of pavement surface cracks segmentation is discussed in detail. Experiment results demonstrate that the novel algorithm could identify the edges of pavement surface cracks correctly and the performance of our proposed scheme is better than the previous classical algorithms.
