Abstract :
It was investigated now properties of a wall, to which a bubble was attached, affected the bubble behaviors in ultrasonic field. Bubble behaviors on two different materials, a brass and an agar gel, were observed under a transient acoustic standing wave with the center frequency of 27 kHz, using a high-speed video camera. Effects of the wall-material on the bubble behaviors were investigated by comparing the bubble behaviors on these two different materials. Optical observations demonstrated that the difference of wall-material led to remarkable differences of the bubble behaviors, particularly generation processes of a liquid-jet at large sound pressure. These observed results characterized the effect of the difference of wall-material on bubble behaviors.
