Abstract :
This paper studies the hovering controller design for a helicopter. The linear helicopter motion equation is introduced. The hovering control law is designed and the parameters mapping method is employed to search the best available hover controller parameters in all flight states. The digital simulation models are established. Simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed controllers. The hover maneuver controlled by the designed controller passed the test flight.
