Abstract :
Typhoon, being a serious natural disaster, may cause storm surge which has a greater hazard on coastal cities. In this paper, a system of storm surge warning and disaster evaluation is studied. The system adopts network database as storage, adopts GIS as visualization platform and numerical forecast model of storm surge as core. An application system platform with B/S and C/S mixed architecture is constructed based on the operation process of forecast, which can meet the demand for calculation and inquiry of technicians and decision-makers. By installing and Applying in Guangdong province, the system is proved to be functional.
