  • Abstract
    This paper deals with the problem of blind signal to noise ratio (SNR) estimation for MIMO-OFDM system. Existing MIMO-OFDM SNR estimators are based on the knowledge of pilot sequences which is not applicable in some environment. A novel blind SNR estimation algorithm for MIMO-OFDM system is proposed. In this algorithm, we first select appropriate Cyclic postfix length of the transmitter signal to ensure that the MIMO channel system can be transformed into a number of single-input single-output (SISO) channel system. Then, based on the cyclostationary statistics of signals, a blind SNR estimation method for SISO is formed. Numerical simulation results are provided to verify the benefit of the proposed method.
