TETRA has been adopted in many countries as the de-facto standard for new digital trunked radio systems and there has been a rapid world-wide growth in the implementation of networks in both the public and private sectors. This is therefore an appropriate time to review the status of TETRA within the global marketplace and developments within the industry.
