Abstract :
The overall goal of the program is to build and test a prototype tuneable signal source, nominally centered at 650 GHz, with power output between 0.1 and 1.0 Watt. The device is based on a helical slow-wave circuit with the beam propagating outside of the helix. This paper describes the component designs using CST Studio, including the slow-wave circuit, output transition/antenna, beam focusing magnet, electron gun, and collector.
