Abstract :
Corresponding to global environmental problems and energy crisis in recent years, a technology which improve the fuel consumption and emission of diesel engine is required. This paper present a method to construct a response surface modeling of diesel engine in order to control the large number of control parameter appropriately in consideration of the fuel consumption and exhaust gas emission as the engine output objectives. Stepwise method considering multicollinearity was applied to construct the polynomial engine model. Using the experimental data of a single cylinder diesel engine, the prediction model of power, BSFC, NOx and soot on multiple injection diesel engines was built.
