Abstract :
This paper describes the analysis and design of a novel integrated millimeter wave multiplexer. The component is composed of two E-plane dual bandpass filters and a tapered 6-dB waveguide grid-divider. Rigorous field theoretical modelling of the discontinuities involved allows accurate representation of the generalized s-matrix of the entire component. A design example is shown for the W-band. The simplicity of the design principle is also very useful for the lower microwave bands.
