Abstract :
Propagation characteristics (dielectric contants, characteristic impedances and losses) of coplanar waveguides based on full wave spectral domain analysis are presented in this paper. Theoretical results of single coplanar waveguides fabricated on ceramic and gallium arsenide are compared with measurements to check on the computation and the validity of the theory. The computation is extended to multiconductor-coplanar waveguides whose results are also presented. Series interdigital capacitors in coplanar technique, as an application of coplanar multiconductor structures, are analysed. Finally, the application of lumped elements in a chebyschev band-pass filter is examined.
