How technical writers write: a survey of strategies and attitudes

To investigate a number of questions connected with how technical writers write, the authors conducted a survey of professional technical writers. The questions asked include the following: Will the same strategies and attitudes that will produce, for example, a good term paper produce a good technical manual?
