  • Abstract
To solve the problem of the dynamic optimized allocation of the distributed manufacturing resources in the new manufacturing environment, a distributed decision-making approach based on multi-agent system (MAS) was proposed. Through the negotiation of the agents based on market mechanism, optimized allocation of the distributed manufacturing resources was achieved when the equilibrium of the resource demand and supply was reached. The negotiation-based resource allocation process was initiated at the beginning of each time bucket to realize optimized resource allocation dynamically according to the current assignable tasks and available resources. Compared to the centralized and static planning mechanisms in the traditional enterprise resource planning (ERP), the approach can support distributed interactive decision-making of the internal and external decision agents and has the advantages of flexibility, dynamic adaptability, openness and reconfiguration.
