Abstract :
The article considers an actual millimeter microwave (MMW) collocated detector applied in a, AHM (anti-helicopter mine) weapon by fusing active and passive detection. There is strong compensation between active detection (radar) and passive detection (radiometer). The value and width of the MMW radiation signal represents the property of target material and its size. The center of the target can be aimed at accurately by passive detection. The target´s height and azimuth can be precisely detected by radar. Based on the echo envelope curve of the signal return of MMW radar, the steady bi-spectral estimation can be acquired, representing information of target scatter. In this paper, methods of identifying targets such as helicopters using radar and a radiometer are introduced individually, then the active and passive information fusion technique is discussed. A scheme for acquiring target parameters by monostatic active sensor(s) is introduced.
