Abstract :
ICSE 2009 in Vancouver has seen the first finals of the SCORE Software Engineering Contest. Teams from all over the world have taken part in a competition open to students from undergraduate to master´s level. Each team has developed a system chosen from a list of projects and monitored by a committee member. The final outcome of their work has been a report and accompanying system. Evaluation has been based on the quality of all aspects of the software engineering process followed, as well as the outcome.
