Abstract :
This paper describes a PV and MoD funded programme to develop a demonstrator radar modulator, implemented using 1.0 ¿m silicon ECL technology. A gate array circuit, capable of replacing a conventional PIN switch and bi-phase modulator with an equivalent digital design is described. Test results from the demonstrator circuit are given and the potential for this technology is presented.
