Abstract
A six-pole, triple-mode filter with a self-equalized group delay response has been realized with only one cross-coupling. This simple coupling geometry achieves an unloaded Q efficiency of 90 percent and permits a cavity design with a lower order mode combination that allows significant volume and weight reductions. A Ku-band experimental filter shows good agreement with the predicted performance.
