Abstract :
This paper proposes some topologies of universal active power filter for single-phase applications with reduced number of components. Three topologies with transformer connected in parallel side are proposed: one in which both input and output converters are connected in half-bridge and the others two share a common leg, with one leg connected as half-bridge and the other one as a full-bridge. All configurations compensate current and voltage harmonic and provide a power factor control close to unit. The system model and the steady-state analysis are also presented.
