Abstract :
Active power filter with current detection at source side is considered to be a closed-loop control system, which is expected with better performance compared to the one with load current detection. But existing schemes still have certain limitations that affect their practical use. This paper firstly introduces a newly designed resonant regulator, whose design takes the control target into consideration and performance is analyzed from perspective of the whole system. On basis of the regulator, a new control scheme for source current detected active power filter is proposed, which is simple in structure, reasonable in principle, and easy for implementation. With this scheme, active power filter performs as an equivalent multi-band rejection filter that series between the loads and grid source, rejecting selected harmonic currents from load side flowing into source side. Simulations have been carried out to verify the principle of proposed scheme, and good performances both in stable state and transient state are got as expectation.
