Abstract
There is a need to rapidly screen the performance of potentially new anti-corrosion coatings for Naval Aviation. Here, scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) is used in the substrate generation/tip collection (SGTC) mode to differentiate between primers of known performance as a proof of concept. The substrate potential was increased until significant tip collection was observed and the performance of the coating inferred by the level of oxidative potential required.
