Abstract :
A CAD program for the analysis of planar microstrip circuits of arbitrary shape has been developed. The usefulness of the program is demonstrated by analyzing the right-angled microstrip bend, microstrip T-junction, and microstrip Y-junction, covering a large range of frequencies, perimittivities, and linewidths. The calculated results agreed very well with published theoretical and experimental results. In comparison with programs based on other methods, our method requires less storage and computation time.
