Abstract
We determine the performances of a collision resolution multiple access technique for handling speech and data traffic on a radio network with capture. The proposed access technique decouples the speech access procedure from the data access procedure. It follows that speech access performances do not depend on actual data load. It is well known that capture improves the performances of random access algorithms. However, due to the decoupling and the limited delay requirements, capture could have effect on performances of speech access procedure that depend on the speech model. In the paper we present analytical results of performance evaluations for different capture models. Two speech models are taken into consideration
