Abstract :
We present a digital implementation of soft detection for 3-chip differential binary phase-shift keying with improved receiver sensitivity and tolerance to chromatic dispersion. An optimum weighting factor is found for signals degraded by correlated phase distortions resulting from chromatic dispersion.
