Abstract :
The paper overviews the system and mission requirements of the millimeter wave communication payload antenna for ESA´s PSDE SAT-2. The description of a re-pointing and tracking system applying, unconventionally, a mechanical conical scan concept, follows. The paper discusses the system performance, with reference to a mathematical model and simulation results.
