Abstract :
A rigorous method for analyzing hybrid mode dielectric resonators on suspended substrate and for evaluating the quality factors of the resonators, by using mode matching, is presented. Measured and numerical results showing excellent agreement are presented for a sample resonator on several hybrid modes. Numerical results for suspended substrate resonators in the millimeter-wave region are also included.
